Anything Goes Online: Debut Show

With lockdown and the closure of all bars, pubs and clubs, live comedy across the country came to a screeching halt. Here in Glossop my own little open mic also found itself homeless and socially distanced.

Soon enough I and every other comedian on Facebook was generating content in one form or another to throw out into the great beyond of the internet to feel even a tenth of the buzz that taking something to stage in the belief it'll make people laugh brings.

At this point I realised that perhaps my pint-sized newcomers and new material event could do the same and I gave a shout out across the social media sea to anyone who fancied adding their funny to a playlist of experimental mirth making. A whole bunch of acts answered the call - some in their bedrooms, others in the garden, a few with footage from before everything shut up shop.

The result is on the link below. A playlist of performance which is spectacularly diverse and done for the love of it with a mercifully brief intro from myself. Click through, put the screen on big and make sure you hit like and leave comments on the videos that tickle you most.

And once we're all out again, go and see them when they're in your neck of the woods.
